The photo was submitted by Margaret Rahn. As work continued on the Nebraska side and the bridge began inching its way across the river, crews commenced work on the South Dakota side preparing for the linkup. The photo (right) from John Runnels shows a crew working with a crane bringing in concrete for the pilings on the South Dakota shoreline.
