P&D FILE PHOTO Of course, the Meridian Bridge has always been something more than an expanse of concrete and steel across the Missouri River. For many people, it is a work of art that exudes spectacular beauty in any weather and at any time of the day. The above photo captures the old bridge just after sunset in late autumn 2007 and the bridge wouldn t be the bridge if travelers weren t using it.
