    Catholic Schools Week Dividends for Life January 31 February 5, 2010 St. Agnes School Vermillion, SD Fifth Graders using teamwork while working on a puzzle. Kindergarten-fifth grade students will participate in the liturgy. The annual Turkey Dinner will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the school auditorium. Tickets are $7 adults, $4 students, 5 years and under eat free. Tickets are available at the door. Silent auction bids during the dinner (11:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m.). If you d like to donate your own theme basket or items for our silent auction, please drop donations off by Friday afternoon, January 29th. The verbal auction will begin at 12:00 noon. We will be auctioning the parking spaces by the church, names for the school library, playground, boulevard, the schoolyard fence, and the front row seating for 10 at the Spring 2010 and Christmas 2010 music programs. New this year, we will be auctioning off services from the classes and reserved pews for your family at the Easter Sunday 10:30 a.m. Mass and reserved pews at the Christmas Eve 4:00 p.m. Mass. John (Pre-5) Mystery Teacher Students will have a surprise teacher from 12:55-1:25 p.m. (Pre-5) Collection Day Parents and community are welcome to view the students collections between 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the school gym. Main St. Vermillion, SD (605) 624-3031 Friday, February 5th Dividends for Life: In Our Faculty, Staff & Volunteers Attend Mass with Bishop Swain and the Sioux Falls Catholic Schools at the Elmen Center on the campus of Augustana College in Sioux Falls at 10:00 a.m. www.houskadental.com The Mass will be broadcast live on KELO s (CBS) sister station, UTV (cable channel 10 in most communities.) There will also be a 60-minute airing of the Mass on KELO (CBS) beginning at 10 AM on Sunday, February 7, 2010. Family Sock Hop from 6-8 p.m. in the school gym. We will serve pizza, pop, and bars. There will be music, dancing, and lots of fun! The entrance fee is an item for the Domestic Violence Safe Options Services. The students at St. Agnes School put on quite a performance at their Christmas Program, Christmas in the Country. The reindeer pulled the sleigh while Santa and the elves threw out candy canes. The 3rd Graders enjoyed their field trip to the Vermillion Airport, as a part of their Community Survey Project. These preschoolers are practicing their cutting skills.
