With the growing number of
vendors and attendees this
year s event is going to be spectacular. The vendors will be
located on the main floor of the
Riverfront Events Center. The
style show will be held on the
upper level. The committee is
really utilizing this wonderful
facility again this year.
In the past, more than 100
brides-to-be have attended the
event, as well as showcasing
30-40 vendors.
No matter what you are
looking for, attendees to the
2012 Bridal Fest will find what
they need. Everything from
photography and music to wedding attire and transportation
can be found at the event. You
can also find great wedding
and/or shower gift ideas to give
the happy couple.
Come ready to taste test
like you never have before.
Catering companies are there
to let you taste a variety of delicious cakes and foods that can
be prepared for the reception or
rehearsal dinner. If you leave
hungry, you didn t try enough
of the wonderful foods that will
be available for tasting.

Over the past several years a
trend has been growing in popularity wedding cupcakes.
According
to
Jennifer
Glanzman, Sugar Momma s
Custom Cakery in Yankton, the
cupcakes have really been popular with the younger couples
because they want something
fun and different.
It s not quite so different any
more though as more couple are
doing cupcakes. They are trying
to steer away from the traditional flowers and lace and pillars.
They want to go with new and
trendy.
There will always be a debate
of which if the way to go for a
wedding. If you search online
there are valid arguments for
both.
One of the benefits of doing
cupcakes, Glanzman said, is that
you don t have to find someone to
cut the cake, let alone someone
who can cut it well.
Cutting a wedding cake is
messy and time consuming, she
adds.
With cupcakes it can create a
large centerpiece to the reception
that people can mingle around.
How the cupcakes are displayed can also add variety to a
reception. Glanzmann said that
the couple can choose to have a
large display that people can
walk around, or maybe smaller
displays that act as the centerpeices on the tables.
There can be something
impressive about a large many
tiered display of cupcakes. If you
have ever seen Cupcake Wars on
the Food Network you know that
the possibilities can be endless if
you have the imagination the
baker willing to go to the
extreme.
