Home Show Is One-Stop Shopping For All Your Home Needs
Lewis & Clark Home Builders Home Show Set For April 14-15

Whether you were affected
by the Missouri River Flood of
2011, are still looking for the
right contractor to make repairs
after last year s hail storm or
are ready to undertake a remodel or new construction project,
this weekend s Home Show is a
must.
The Lewis & Clark Home
Builders Association (L&CHBA)
will host its 7th annual Home
Show from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Saturday and noon-4 p.m.
Sunday at the Kiwanis 4-H Ice
Center, 709 Whiting Drive,
Yankton. Admission is $3 per
person with children 12 and
under admitted free. Those who
bring a non-perishable food
donation for the Yankton Food
Pantry will receive $1 off admission price.

Chair Lee Rettig said because of
the flooding last year and the
hailstorm that caused significant damage in the area last
August there are many homeowners in the area that could
benefit from attending the
Home Show.
Some people held off doing
repairs because they didn t want
to run into winter weather and
some had to wait because area
contractors were booked up, he
said. Whether it was from flood
or hail there are a lot of folks
looking to get work done on
their homes.
The Home Show will feature
booths with 50-65 local businesses displaying product
demonstrations and exhibits
including: Home Builders,
Design & Construction,
Windows & Doors, Gutters &
Siding, Lighting & Electrical
Supplies, Construction Products,
Millwork, Heating & Cooling,
Water Conditioning, Sunrooms,
Fencing & Decks, Closet &
Garage Organization,
Fireplaces, Financial
Institutions and more.
We encourage people to
come out and get to know the
Lewis & Clark Home Builders,
Rettig said. This is our seventh
home show and our 11th year as
an organization, but many people don t realize there is a local
home builder association with a
very active membership. The
businesses that are a part of the
home builders organization
work to a higher standard and
are part of a national umbrella
under the National Association
of Home Builders. As contractors and construction companies
we strive to be more proactive
and more businesslike and more
a part of the community. We
hold ourselves to a higher professional standard.
Rettig said the L&CHBA
members have a built-in networking system that allows for
smoother jobs.
We are excited for the show
and we know there is demand
out there, he said. We want
people to come to the show and
get their needs met. The Home
Show is the perfect place to go
for one-stop shopping. This is
our showcase of what we have
to offer and it is all community
driven. People can walk through
and see what we have to offer
and how we can help. We really
hope to see a lot folks out there
this weekend.
